Blackmail & Extortion

How to Stay Safe

  • Report suspicious profiles immediately

Don'ts

  • NEVER pay money in advance
  • Don't share personal ID or documents
  • Don't share compromising photos
  • Don't give in to blackmail threats

If You're Being Blackmailed

Do NOT pay the blackmailer. Payment usually leads to more demands. Instead:

  1. Stop all communication with the blackmailer
  2. Save all evidence (screenshots, messages)
  3. Report to cyber crime portal immediately
  4. File a police complaint
